About the role

As an Installation Technician III, you will install, terminate, and commission a wide range of physical security products and systems while serving as a customer-facing representative.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
- Install various physical security devices and systems according to engineered drawings.
- Travel up to 60% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
- Identify and resolve issues that could negatively impact job productivity.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment at all times.
- Communicate all activity to the job Project Manager or Field Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintain the condition and cleanliness of any company-provided vehicle.
- Maintain a safe driving record and report any incidents or near misses to management immediately.
- Attend any required product or safety training.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of field installation experience in the security environment.
- Mastery of all install technician responsibilities.
- Access control experience with platforms such as Amag, Software House, Galaxy, Genetec, Gallagher, or Lenel.
- Solid understanding of copper and fiber data communication (e.g., fiber, transport equipment).
- Experience with multiple Access Control platforms.
- Experience with various analytics and/or video products.
- Experience installing door hardware such as strikes.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings.
- Experience marking up or “red lining” drawings post-install.
- Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, teamwork, and a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter and quick learner.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- A “ONE TEAM” attitude.
