About the role
Installation Technician building emergency vehicles that serve a critical purpose. You’ll work on varied builds, learning specialized skills that are in high demand.
Responsibilities
- Install lights, sirens, radios, push bumpers, partitions, and storage systems
- Run and clean up 12V and 110 wiring (clean work matters)
- Read wiring diagrams and schematics and apply them correctly
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle interiors without damaging OEM components
- Troubleshoot electrical or install issues when things don’t work right
- Support production schedules and help keep builds moving
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Deliver quality work that’s ready for the field
Requirements
- Experience with vehicle wiring, installs, or upfitting
- Working knowledge of 12V systems, relays, switches, and electrical routing
- Comfortable using crimpers, soldering tools, and electrical test equipment
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic and team mindset
ADA Requirements
- Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally
- Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously
- Sit, grasp items and perform keyboarding occasionally for computer operation
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards, including chemicals which may require respiratory protection
Pay
The expected starting hourly range for this role is $20.86–$27.50/hour, depending on experience and skill level.
