Installation Tech - Upfit
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Installing lights, sirens, radios, push bumpers, partitions, and storage systems
- Running and cleaning up 12V and 110 wiring (clean work matters here)
- Reading wiring diagrams and schematics and applying them correctly
- Disassembling and reassembling vehicle interiors without damaging OEM components
- Troubleshooting electrical or install issues when things don’t work right
- Supporting production schedules and helping keep builds moving
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Taking pride in delivering quality work that’s ready for the field
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with vehicle wiring, installs, or upfitting
- Working knowledge of 12V systems, relays, switches, and electrical routing
- Comfortable using crimpers, soldering tools, and electrical test equipment
- Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Self-motivated with a solid work ethic and team mindset

Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with Minnesota law, the expected starting hourly range for this position is $20.86 to $31.07 per hour, with final determination based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
ADA Requirements
Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods. Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally. Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously. Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer. Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.
