Installation Supervisor Install - Indirect
About the Role
Supervises the installation of pre-fabricated components such as windows, doors, insulation, and related products on customer sites. Responsible for all aspects of installation activities, including planning, coordinating, and assigning work to meet or exceed installation scheduling goals.
Responsibilities
- Schedules installations by coordinating with sales commitments/releases and fabrication loads.
- Ensures economical delivery options are utilized and optimizes materials handling equipment and delivery vehicles.
- Monitors installation schedules to coordinate material delivery, installer sequencing, and optimize equipment and manpower use; maintains progress records against targets.
- Troubleshoots problems on installation sites; writes change orders, recommends schedule adjustments, and resolves quality issues with subcontractors as needed.
- Maintains oversight of materials inventories, fabrication programs, and other factors affecting installation schedules.
- Supervises assigned employees, including staff selection, training, work assignment, performance reviews, and addressing complaints or disciplinary issues.
- Understands and observes all safety procedures to prevent injury; attends safety meetings and may recommend improvements to safety practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of company practices and standards for product installations.
- Knowledge of business mathematics.
- Ability to supervise and achieve work productivity through others.
- Ability to read and write delivery schedules and reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise resource planning (ERP) programs.
