About the Role
Perimeter Security Partners is seeking a motivated Installation Specialist with construction skills to install and repair security fencing, active vehicle barriers, personnel gates, security bollards, and passive vehicle barrier equipment throughout the United States. This outdoor role supports governmental, military, industrial, and commercial clients and may involve assisting with the installation and repair of access control point (ACP) equipment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competence in the safe and effective operation of powered equipment, including skid steers, shooting boom forklifts, trenchers, concrete saws, and mini-excavators, with the ability to operate safely around utilities and obstacles. Obtain certification for equipment operation.
- Perform saw cutting, demolition of existing concrete/asphalt, earth excavation, setting and bracing barrier/fence equipment, placing and finishing concrete, and assembling gates, fences, and barriers.
- Move discharge chutes and use shovels/rakes to distribute concrete evenly into forms under the direction of experienced finishers.
- Set conduit pathways and stub-up pathways within foundation forms.
- Set and remove traffic control devices, erosion control devices, and temporary fencing as required.
- Execute construction tasks using common hand tools (e.g., shovels, picks, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, prybars).
- Work cooperatively with other Installation Specialists to accomplish daily work plans.
- Safely drive company vehicles while adhering to traffic laws and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials per manufacturer recommendations and company policy.
- Adhere to all company, client, and project safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Accurately report credit card expenses and timesheets in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience as a construction tradesperson.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test for access to military installations and controlled areas.
- Experience operating powered equipment.
- Experience placing and finishing reinforced concrete (required).
- Experience installing physical security equipment, fencing, or gates (preferred).
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to waist level.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and have full use of hands, fingers, and arms.
- Ability to work outdoors for up to 60 hours per week in various weather conditions.
Additional Information
- 85% or more travel, typically for three to four weeks at a time to project sites across the United States.

- Fixed per diem to offset meals and expenses.
- Hands-on and other training opportunities available to augment skills and proficiency with physical security infrastructure equipment.
Pay
$26–$32 per hour based on experience, with ample overtime. 80% of work performed on Federal job sites may pay higher wages based on location.
