About the Role
Responsible for meeting customer needs through custom truck body fabrication, installation, and leadership. Key activities include:
- Layout, wiring, and mounting of custom truck bodies on trucks
- Setting up and operating machines to cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into custom parts
- Completing mechanical work, including hydraulics and mounting PTOs and pumps
- Leading and assisting employees to meet production schedules while maintaining personal production responsibilities
- Communicating effectively with employees, managers, and other departments (e.g., documentation, reports)
- Assisting the Lead with employee performance appraisals and accountability for company values and policies
- Prioritizing safety by following safety and environmental requirements, housekeeping, PPE, and work procedures
- Assisting with safety-related investigations, including root cause analysis and action items
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Leadership, flexibility, and interpersonal skills to identify, analyze, and solve problems, as well as train and mentor employees
- Basic math skills for accurate machine setup, measurement, and problem-solving
- Preferred experience operating a hand plasma and wire feed welding; ability to pass a weld test is preferred
- Preferred 1–2 years of experience in installation or related vehicle experience
- Ability to manually move product and materials up to 50 lbs. through regular heavy physical exertion (lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending)
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 lbs. using overhead hoists
- Ability to stand and work on concrete for several hours at a time
- Ability to work in various positions, including kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing
- Ability to read job specifications, blueprints, and measuring devices, and perform basic computer data entry
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTOs, frames, pumps, electrical controls, and wiring
- Ability to work in a team environment, identify effective countermeasures, and participate in company meetings
- Ability to attain and maintain production efficiencies and quality standards
- Commitment to working safely, following procedures, wearing PPE, completing maintenance requests, and communicating hazards
- Team-oriented mindset to collaborate with other departments or facilities to meet company goals
- Detail-oriented, energetic, and goal-driven
- Willingness to embrace lean tools and apply them for measurable results
- Desire to participate in and lead kaizen events in work cells
Pay
Wage expectations: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour (non-exempt, hourly position).
Schedule
Typical schedule: Four (4) ten-hour days, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be available on the fifth day of the week and/or Saturdays.
Location
On-site: 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal, MN 56055. Minimal to no travel required.
