Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with the installation of architectural millwork, cabinetry, countertops, and specialty wood products.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and tools safely.
- Read and follow shop drawings and installation instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
- Help ensure installations meet Merric's quality standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and team members.
- Complete work in accordance with project schedules and company safety requirements.
- Travel extensively to project sites throughout the United States.
Qualifications
- Construction or carpentry experience preferred but not required.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Comfortable working on construction sites.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation to Merric's facility.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent overnight travel is required.
- Projects may require travel for several days or weeks at a time.
- Company-paid travel, lodging, and per diem provided when applicable.
