Install Technician II

About the role

The Install Technician supports Reliable Plus installation projects by assisting with the setup and installation of vehicle wash equipment at customer locations primarily across the Midwest. This role represents Reliable Plus at customer locations and helps create a positive experience through teamwork, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technicians and senior technicians with installation of vehicle wash equipment at customer sites
• Learn and perform installation tasks including mechanical assembly, electrical connections and equipment setup
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Follow all safety procedures and Reliable Plus job site standards
• Maintain clean, organized and safe job sites during installation projects
• Assist with equipment modifications, adjustments and upgrades as required
• Load, unload and move equipment and materials needed for installations
• Support reading basic installation drawings, layouts and measurements
• Maintain tools, equipment and company provided vehicles in good working condition
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates and supervisors on job sites
• Take notes and apply training to learn installation procedures and technical processes
• Travel to customer locations across the Midwest including frequent overnight stays (50-60% overnight travel)
• Work both independently and as part of an installation team
• Participate in continuous learning to build technical knowledge and installation expertise

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatic systems or hydraulics
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic measurements and follow installation instructions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift equipment up to 75 lbs and maneuver installation materials
• Frequent travel required including overnight stays

Qualifications

• Preferred Experience And/or Training: Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatic systems or hydraulics; Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Ability to safely operate hand and power tools; Ability to read basic measurements and follow installation instructions; Strong teamwork and communication skills; Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions; Ability to lift equipment up to 75 lbs and maneuver installation materials; Previous experience in equipment installation, mechanical work or construction; Technical training or coursework related to mechanical or electrical systems; Experience working in field service or installation environments; Forklift operation experience

Pay

The anticipated hiring range for the role is between $25 and $37 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
