About the role

This position involves the installation of aluminum storefronts, curtain walls, and entrances, as well as associated glazing, hardware, and caulking.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions from field supervisor regarding installation of aluminum products such as storefronts, doors, curtain walls, and associated glass and hardware.
• Works independently and with other installers to install Division 8 products as assigned and trained.
• Responsible for installation of more technically advanced or demanding architectural grade products.
• Follows manufacturer direction and warranty requirements when installing products.
• Tracks time and materials as required for each installation project.
• Maintains all equipment in good working order and reports any malfunctions to field supervisor.
• Trains entry-level technicians on proper installation techniques and methods.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Provides quality customer service.
• Attends all training to learn new technology of building materials and installation methods as required by location management.
• Travel as required to perform essential functions (approximately 25%).
• Performs other relative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Some installation experience with doors, frames, and hardware products, or Division 8 products.
• Clean driving record and at least 21 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Skills

• Ability to read and use a measuring tape, level, and other required tools for installation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate and understand detailed instructions.
