Inspector, Road and Bridge
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join our team for upcoming roadway and bridge projects in the New Jersey area. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be an important part of critical construction efforts for large-scale roadway and bridge transportation projects in New Jersey.

- Perform inspection and quality assurance oversight on roadway and bridge projects.
- Monitor contractor work activities including asphalt paving, roadway, bridge, and related infrastructure improvements.
- Complete daily inspection reports that document work progress, materials, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Review construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and client standards.
- Coverage with contractors, project managers, and client representatives to address field conditions and maintain project quality.
- Represent the client and GFT at project sites, maintaining professional communication and field presence.
- Remain onsite during contractor operations to verify approved procedures and construction practices are followed.
What You’ll Be Challenged To Do
In this role, you will help ensure quality, safety, and compliance while representing GFT and our clients across active construction sites. Your work will play a direct role in delivering roadway and bridge improvements that communities rely on every day, from safer travel to stronger infrastructure that supports growth across New Jersey.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Education | Experience
- A High School Diploma.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-10 years of construction inspection experience, with strong experience on NJDOT, NJTA, and public roadway and bridge projects.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
- Experience with NJDOT and/or NJTA inspection procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements.
- Certifications such as NICET II to IV, TCC, NJSAT, ACI is preferred.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $175,000; Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
