Inspector (Non-Woven)

Full-time, on-site position at Nonwoven Plant, 66 Andrews Parkway, Senoia, GA 30276, USA.

About the role

Conduct regular visual inspections and audits along continuous production lines for web uniformity, defects, roll winding, and edge alignment.

Responsibilities

• Repair defects from fabric such as slubs or loose ends using steel pick, scissors, or burling iron.
• Cut non-repairable defects from fabric, using scissors.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Attention to detail, organization skills, time management, effective communication, self-motivation, analysis and evaluation, data management.

Work Environment

This job operates in a plant environment. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand (for extended periods of time), and hear.
• Must reach with hands and arms, push, pull and/or lift, climb or balance, kneel, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Repetitive hand actions, including grasping and fine manipulations, are essential.
• Must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend and overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Little to no travel is expected for this position.
