What you’ll need to succeed as an Inspector, Manufacturing at XPO Minimum qualifications: High degree of assembling skills and techniquesAbility to use various measuring tools and inspection instrumentsAbility to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures Preferred qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalentProven ability to follow directions, remain engaged/productive and demonstrate flexibility/adaptability to changing conditions and expectationsSolid communication skills; able to collaborate and communicate respectfully while supporting others in a team environmentA professional demeanor and punctual/reliable attendance About the Inspector, Manufacturing job Pay, benefits and more: Competitive compensation package Full health insurance benefits available on day one Life and disability insurance Earn up to 13 days of PTO over your first year 9 paid company holidays 401(k) option with company match Education assistance What you’ll do on a typical day: Audit and monitor quality requirements by the company’s quality policies and customer specificationsDocument and report inspection findingsPerform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspections of materials, components and sub-assemblies per the inspection plans and specification requirementsWork with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions and issuesConduct various quality checks and tests on products to ensure that tested products fall within standards, measured specifications and tolerancesUse various measuring/inspection instruments and safely perform work; maintain a 5-S environmentPartner with the Engineering team to ensure compliance with blueprints and drawingsDemonstrate and lead others in executing XPO’s core values and complying with policies and proceduresComplete other duties and special projects as assigned by management Inspector, Manufacturers are required to: Follow safety rules and work in a safe mannerPerform work in a manufacturing environmentWork outside if necessaryPerform fine manipulations of parts Safely walk, reach (including above head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel in strained and awkward positions for prolonged periodsOccasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Perform the visual requirements for this position, including close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus About XPO XPO is a top ten global provider of transportation services, with a highly integrated network of people, technology and physical assets.
