Inspector - Level 4 (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of products and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • This includes receiving inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection.
  • Perform first article inspection per AS9102.
  • Identify and document defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the Machine Shop and Assembly Labs with accurate, timely and relevant inspection data.

About the Role

Play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of products and processes within our operations. Work directly with the Quality Manager and based out of Norcross, GA on an On-site work schedule. Impact product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency by maintaining rigorous inspection standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality inspection within manufacturing or production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, quality standards, and measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.4, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Proficiency with inspection equipment and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with operating and programming CMM.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma in quality assurance or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality inspection or related roles.
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO or AS9100 is a plus.
