Inspector - Level 3, 24/7 Days (6a-6p)

About the role
Perform tasks that lead to the assurance of Swagelok product/process conformance. The Inspector must possess the physical ability to perform all job responsibilities and have the skills required to fulfill technical, operational, and judgmental responsibilities. They assist in developing new processes, recognize and solve most non-routine process problems, and make process improvements that reduce cost and/or improve quality and delivery. The role involves interaction with associates in other functional areas and may include overseeing and assisting with department development.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret reports, part prints, quality specifications, and other quality-related documents
- Use various types of inspection equipment
- Analyze statistical process control techniques used in processes
- Execute physical inspection of product to assure product conformance
- Understand process flow for internal operations
- Apply statistical sampling plans
- Follow various operational procedures
- Verify and maintain inspection equipment
- Enter records and documentation, in both written and electronic form
- Provide unbiased disposition of product based on established quality requirements
- Initiate corrective action for issues that could lead to the detriment of outgoing quality
- Prioritize work by appropriate means
- Convey information pertaining to observed quality trends and issues
- Provide basic training and orientation of other associates
- Perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner
- Support company philosophies, systems, and policies by displaying integrity, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and acting immediately if an unacceptable situation arises
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and product/process specifications
- Strong math skills

Working Conditions
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Ability to pass a vision acuity test with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to sustain effective visual inspection during scheduled shifts by applying published Swagelok Visual Standards and Standard Work
- Must be able to lift on a regular basis between 25–35 pounds and occasionally between 35–50 pounds
- Demonstrate manual dexterity required to properly handle products and gages, and move throughout the shop floor to gather samples and parts
- Some standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, and twisting is required
- Willingness to work in enclosed/confined spaces (e.g., clean room)
