Inspector CEI 2

Job Duties

• Performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout
• Making and checking engineering computations
• Inspecting construction work
• Conducting field tests
• Coincording with and taking instructions from other senior inspection staff
• Interpreting plans and specifications
• Monitoring contractor's work for compliance with contract documents
• Construction documentation including written reports and taking photos of onsite operations
• Tracking site quantities including construction math computation
• Permit compliance verification
• Materials verification including taking field samples at required frequencies

Requirements

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level 1
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures) (preferred)
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• DOT Intermediate MOTNuclear Radiation Safety
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work in rough terrain found on construction sites
• Must be capable of walking in steep varying terrain in all climate conditions
• Must be able to drive

Experience

• Four (4) years minimum experience in construction inspection
• One (1) year of which includes bridge and/or roadway construction inspection
