About the role
This position is based in Haltom City and performs essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Quality Manager to meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform hardness and other tests and record results as required.
- Complete conformance and other related paperwork; perform shop audits and/or reviews as required.
- Report any deviation, problem, or irregularity to the supervisor or management.
- Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
- Perform other tasks as designated by the position.
- Responsible for the care and treatment of our customers' inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
- Training will start on 1st shift. After training, employee will move to 2nd shift.
Requirements
- Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or permanent resident cardholders.
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum zero to two years in the heat treating industry or related field.
- Must have working knowledge of all testing equipment and terminology.
- Basic knowledge of commercial and aerospace materials and heat-treating equipment is desired.
- Must have some experience reading/interpreting blueprints, be detail-oriented, and possess manual dexterity.
- May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.

Physical & Mental Demands
- Must be able to work in a sitting and standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
