Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing. This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

About the role

We are seeking a Receiving Inspector to join our team at our Culpeper, VA site. Under general supervision, an Inspector B utilizes a general application of quality assurance concepts, practices, and techniques. Responsibilities include strict adherence to safety and housekeeping standards, and work within manufacturing areas on a schedule aligned with production needs, including overtime as directed.

Responsibilities

• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring or specialized equipment to perform inspections on rocket motors and rocket motor components under the supervision of higher-level inspectors in accordance with AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.
• Complete paperwork such as writing IR cards and Discrepancy reports.
• Enter shipping data, Discrepancy reports, and Oracle entries in the computer for all programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Trade or Vocational School courses in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and basic math.
• Understanding of AS 9100/ISO 9001 elements.

Pay

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Virginia is $18.27 MIN - $33.65 MAX per hour. Final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Schedule

4/10: Employees work 10-hour days, 4 days a week - 1st Shift.
