Inspector

About the Role

This position reports to the Lead and involves inspecting electronic assemblies, maintaining certifications, and ensuring quality standards are met in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain IPC-7711 certification if required by the team.
• Maintain IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications.
• Inspect assemblies using a 3D AOI system and determine pass/fail status per IPC-A-610 class standards.
• Perform final inspection of assemblies and determine pass/fail status per IPC-A-610 class standards.
• Maintain SMT and Final QA SFE certifications.
• Track and document defects in the database.
• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and submit them to QA.
• Operate x-ray machines and AOI systems according to work instructions.
• Run in-line and batch washers per work instructions.
• Use MES to track job status and time.
• Create and complete non-conformances and Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs).
• Read, understand, and navigate Fusion documentation.
• Update procedures and work instructions to align with current processes.
• Maintain 5S standards and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Follow safety, ESD, ITAR, and QMS protocols.
• Participate in Lean activities and support process changes.
• Adhere to QMS procedures relevant to the role.

Requirements

• Knowledge of and ability to inspect to IPC-A-610 standards.
• Experience inspecting through a microscope.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications.
• Prior inspection experience.
• Experience with final inspection in the electronics industry.

Pay

$21 - $24 per hour.
