Inspector Apprentice

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of fire suppression systems
• Inspect valves, gauges, piping, sprinkler heads, alarm connections, and related suppression system components
• Perform functional testing to verify proper system operation and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements
• Identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and communicate findings clearly to customers and supervisors
• Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, inspection reports, and technical manuals
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete inspection work efficiently and safely
• Complete inspection reports, deficiency documentation, and service records accurately and on time
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status
• Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements
• Travel to job sites as required

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings
• Experience with commercial fire suppression systems and inspection compliance requirements preferred

Other Duties

• Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites
• Use of hand tools and testing equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
