Inspector - Additive Manufacturing

Duties

• Performs inspections for first article and production readiness
• Manufactures and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications
• Maintains accurate and reliable documentation
• Performs inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications
• Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces
• Operates 3D structured light (i.e. “blue light”) scanners, CMM equipment, and associated software
• Ensures the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell
• Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained
• Adhere to all safety standards and regulations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing quality inspection
• Experience with CMM systems and have familiarity with open DMIS language preferred
• Experience with optical 3D structured light scanning equipment and Geomagic Control X inspection software preferred
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading is required
• Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
