Inspection Technician
About the role
Divergent is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our Inspection Team. The role supports complex measurements, trains peers, and ensures high-quality standards. Key responsibilities include conducting receiving, in-process, and final inspections, creating inspection reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Utilize engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gauges/tools, and various inspection methods to perform inspections.
- Record and maintain accurate data including inspection results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and other quality documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Create and maintain inspection files, interpret results, and produce complete, accurate inspection reports.
- Assist leadership with other various inspections and inspection-related tasks.
- Use metrology scanners such as FARO, Romer, Creaform C-Track, MetraSCAN, GOM ScanBox, to acquire geometrical scan data.
- Process raw scan data, remove noise, and export files using comprehensive 3D metrology software like PolyWorks & Zeiss.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a Quality Inspector role in an aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environment.
- High-school diploma (required).
- Proficient computer literacy (Windows, Teams, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including knowledge of GD&T.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications:

- Associate or higher degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Background interfacing with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
- Experience in regulated or high-performance manufacturing environments.

Pay
$27 - $40 USD per hour
Schedule
This is a 3 - 4 x 11 rotating shift working alternating Wednesdays. Shifts available: Sun - Wed 2nd shift (4pm - 3:30am), Wed - Sat 2nd shift (4pm - 3:30am)
