About the role
Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions | Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards | Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards | Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
- Performs inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
- Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required.
- Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
- Documents the results of the inspections and testing.
- Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.
- Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
- Affords assistance with inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required and 3-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree. Proficient in the use of Standard Measurement Instruments (SMI) such as, but not limited to, CMM, optical comparator, microscopes, calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
- Basic understanding of AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and AS9102 First Article Process, and a strong understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009.
- Zeiss CMM experience using Calypso software.

- Preferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree.
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Mathematical skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise. Detail oriented.

Pay
$59,592.00 - $80,624.00
Schedule
No or very little travel likely.
Additional Compensation
- Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.
- PTO, Holiday, and Family Leave: Employees will receive 11 paid holidays and 120 hours of PTO annually and up to 3 weeks paid family leave.
