Inspection B
About the role
L3Harris is seeking a Quality Inspector B to join our Quality team. This role involves performing in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The inspector plays a key part in maintaining compliance with industry regulations while supporting production in delivering mission-critical technology to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspection of Thermal, Night Vision, Laser and Fused systems.
- Perform visual inspections of electrical components, sub-assemblies and assemblies using magnifiers, microscopes, and other non-complex tools.
- Perform functional test of final assemblies.
- Review of documentation (route sheets, test sheets, logbooks, etc.).
- Document non-conformances for immediate action.
- Perform internal Calibration, Chemical, Work Instruction, ESD and Process audits.
- Work with QE, ME, QT to recommend inspection process improvements.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of prior inspection experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or optical inspection methods.
- Proficient in using standard inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, etc.).
- Experience with inspection documentation systems and basic computer applications (MS Office, ERP/MRP systems).
