Insomniac is seeking a Box Office Attendant who combines a passion for dance music with strong box office sales and support skills. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete training on the Front Gate box office system to assist patrons with ticketing inquiries.
- Verify customer information (name, email, credit card) to accurately distribute will-call tickets.
- Resolve scanning issues at the gate in a timely and courteous manner.
- Process cash and credit card transactions using the Front Gate POS system.
- Contact supervisor for unresolved questions.
- Maintain a professional, upbeat attitude and smile in a high-energy environment.
- Keep the box office area clean and organized.
- Provide accurate event information to attendees and answer questions effectively.
- Take initiative when addressing attendee inquiries and treat all attendees with respect.
- Understand evacuation procedures and safe refuge locations before each event.
- Report to Box Office Management as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior sales and customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using computers and POS systems.
- Ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels and de-escalate situations.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Work environment
- Ability to tolerate loud noise and busy environments.
- Willingness to work in extreme temperature climates.
- Availability to travel frequently to work events during holidays, evenings, and weekends as required.
Pay
The hiring salary range for this position is $16.50–$19.00 per hour. Pay is determined based on education, training, experience, location, and other relevant factors.
