InSite Supervisor *Mon-Wed, Sat-Sun, OFF THUR & FRI

On site at Gaffey Street S.A.F.E. Collection Center in San Pedro, CA.

Schedule

• Mon-Wed: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Sat & Sun: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Occasional overtime; closed Thursdays and Fridays

Responsibilities

• Oversee technicians: 1 person weekdays, 15 people each weekend day
• Operate 2 days per week open to the public (Sat & Sun), interact with residents, answer questions, maintain a positive attitude, and act as a self-starter
• Provide excellent customer service
• Build and maintain relationships with the City of Los Angeles
• Handle documentation, manifests, labels, and shipments
• Plan, lead, organize, and coordinate daily operations of the service line crew
• Ensure proper operation of equipment and adherence to standard operating procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of job-related documentation
• Make health and safety the top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes
• Read work orders and verify all required equipment is available and operational before starting jobs
• Inspect equipment and work areas prior to job start; correct deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, or harm to equipment
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required
• Complete all appropriate paperwork, including service receipts, and submit to designated management
• Train Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service line processes
• Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines
• Provide industrial services using appropriate techniques and established methods
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas
• Check equipment at the start of each shift
• Lead safety meetings and ensure Clean Harbors safety policies are followed
• Meet progress deadlines and efficiently utilize resources
• Instruct, provide feedback, and direct crew to complete work in accordance with client requirements and company policies
• Enforce company employee policies and remove employees from jobs when required
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other applicable requirements
• Observe all corporate operating guidelines, environmental health, and safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to interface with clients and management
• Ability to manage project-related vendors
• Ability to manage, reconcile, and review all job-related documentation
• Perform physical functions as required by the job
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial emergency response, Hazmat clean-up, or confined space entry
• Supervisory experience in confined spaces

Pay

$25 per hour
