Inside Sales, Window & Door
About the Role
Launch Your Career at Preston Feather! Ready to jump into the real world and make an immediate impact? Preston Feather is a fast-growing building materials company where your fresh perspective and energy will truly matter from day one. We're not just another corporate ladder – we're the kind of place where recent grads can build something meaningful while learning skills that set you up for long-term success.
What You'll Be Doing
Think customer service meets problem-solving with a side of sales strategy. You'll be the friendly face customers see when they walk into our showroom, but you're also the behind-the-scenes coordinator making sure their projects happen. One day you're helping a homeowner pick the perfect front door, the next you're coordinating with our sales team to get a contractor's bulk order delivered on time. Your day-to-day will include:
- Being the customer's guide through their entire project journey – from "I have no idea what I need" to "This looks amazing!"
- Learning to read people and figure out what they actually need (even when they don't know themselves)
- Mastering industry software that'll make you surprisingly marketable in construction/building industries
- Working with vendors and learning how business relationships really work
- Problem-solving when orders get complicated (spoiler: they always do)
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Thrives in environments where no two days are the same
- Can juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball
- Actually enjoys talking to people and figuring out how to help them
- Wants to learn about an industry that's not going anywhere (people will always need buildings!)
- Can handle morning team meetings without needing three cups of coffee first
Why This Could Be Perfect For You
- Real work-life balance: Monday-Friday. Your weekends are actually yours.
- Money that makes sense: Competitive wage plus annual profit sharing (yes, you get a piece of the pie when the company does well) and 401(k) matching because someone should teach you about retirement planning.
- Growth that's not just talk: We actually invest in training and development. You'll learn skills that transfer anywhere in construction, sales, or business operations.
- Perks that actually count: Employee discounts on building materials (great for your first apartment/house), company gear, health insurance that won't bankrupt you, and actual paid time off.
Requirements
- High school diploma (your degree definitely counts!) and any customer service or office experience – internships, part-time jobs, work-study positions all help.
- Valid Driver's License
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check (including MVR) and drug screen.
