About the role

The Inside Sales Representative has an established book of business and is responsible for growing it. You will build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and influencers in companies within your book of business. You will serve as the business owner of your portfolio of customers, contacting them over the phone and via email to learn their business and better understand their needs.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new sales opportunities via outbound calling and emailing.
• Facilitate the sales process through project management, tracking open sales orders, issue resolution, and overall customer service and support.
• Generate profitable growth through quota attainment.
• Provide product pricing by consulting the pricing matrix and other resources to determine the appropriate price.
• Develop code directives for certain products while maintaining target margin goals.
• Perform estimating, take-off, and proposal duties as necessary.
• Respond to customer order and quotation requests for all levels of accounts received via outside salespersons, telephone, email, and written and faxed correspondence.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• B2B Experience/CRM Knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug test.

Schedule

• 7am/8am shift, Monday through Friday.
• Hybrid: Remote, with 3 days a month in office (Waukegan, IL: 3781 Bur Wood Dr, Waukegan, IL 60085).
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Pay

Competitive hourly base rate ($17.84-$21.49 per hour, depending on experience) plus sales incentives paid monthly.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area; any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.
• On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
