Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming calls on the main customer service line, screen inquiries, and direct to appropriate internal teams
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses
- Prepare and revise customer quotations based on inputs from Sales, established pricing rules, and product knowledge
- Convert approved quotations into orders using QuoteWerks
- Enter and process customer orders in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Route completed orders to order processing or back to Sales when purchase order revisions are required
- Ensure all customer, pricing, and order data is accurately recorded and maintained in company systems (QuoteWerks, Sage 50)
- Maintain proper documentation to support transactions and ensure audit readiness
- Provide backup support to production and order processing teams as needed
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve order or customer-related issues
Essential Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar Technical degree required
- Ideal candidate has a career interest in Outside Technical Sales
- Experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales support preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy
- Experience with ERPs preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Exposure to structured processes or controlled environments (SOX awareness is a plus) preferred
