Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer inquiries to determine appropriate service level—resolving issues directly or escalate to specialized support teams
- Build customer loyalty by understanding business needs and developing tailored solutions that create mutual value
- Leverage CRM and company tools to enhance customer interactions, track engagement history, and implement best practices
- Implement strategic time management to optimize productivity and customer response times
- Support account development with clear revenue, product mix, and profitability goals
- Prepare quotes and pricing aligned with company standards and customer expectations
- Gain insight into customer operations, successful metrics, and purchasing processes
- Deliver professional, knowledgeable service that reflects company values at every customer touchpoint
- Adapt communication style to effectively engage different customer segments throughout the supply chain
- PRACTICE consultative selling through attentive listening and meaningful dialogue
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous sales experience
- Product/applications experience
- Basic computer proficiency
- Previous experience in plumbing, irrigation, or a related industry
- Minimum 2 years in similar position
- Wholesale distribution experience
- Customer-facing sales experience
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage time and multitask in a busy environment
- Comfortable with initiating sales and recommending additional products
- Team player with a positive attitude
