About the role

We are a leading electrical wholesale distributor serving contractors, industrial customers, and commercial/residential clients. Our team is growing and we're seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our fast-paced environment.

Position Summary

As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll be the frontline support for our customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and providing product recommendations. You'll work closely with outside sales, purchasing, and warehouse staff to ensure seamless customer service and contribute to our overall sales success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers via phone, email, and walk-ins with product selection, pricing, and availability.
  • Process quotes and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide technical product support and cross-reference items as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, electricians, and purchasing agents.
  • Collaborate with outside sales reps to support key accounts and project opportunities.
  • Stay up to date on product knowledge, promotions, and industry trends.
  • Resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and returns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3+ years of experience in inside sales or customer service within the electrical supply or construction industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical products (e.g., wiring, conduit, breakers, lighting) preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory and order management systems is a plus.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or sales training is a plus.
