Inside Sales Manager - Aftermarket

This is a full-time salary position based onsite in Holland, MI, with hybrid or remote options available for the right candidate.
About the Role
The Aftermarket Inside Sales Manager leads the Inside Sales function, focusing on strategic planning, operational leadership, sales process optimization, workforce management, and revenue growth. This role establishes priorities, develops processes, allocates resources, and executes sales strategies to support Aftermarket objectives. The manager ensures efficient quote-to-cash processes and partners with cross-functional teams to drive customer engagement and solution development.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop Inside Sales Representatives (ISR) to achieve sales, service, and productivity targets.
- Supervise and manage the Inside Sales team, including work assignment, performance evaluation, and personnel decisions.
- Manage daily workflow to ensure timely response to customer inquiries, quote requests, and order processing.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.
- Resolve customer escalations and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.
- Drive quote-to-order conversion through effective follow-up and coaching.
- Monitor and improve open-quote backlog and lost sales opportunities.
- Recommend and manage the Aftermarket divisional budget, including forecasts, staffing, and operating expenses.
- Ensure consistent use of CRM and business systems for accurate customer, quote, and sales data.
- Promote cross-selling and upselling of Aftermarket products and services.
- Lead strategic planning and recommend departmental improvements to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on sales forecasting, capacity planning, and long-term growth strategies.
- Foster a team culture focused on customer buying patterns, market research, and account prospecting.
- Develop and implement standard work, operating procedures, and best practices for inside sales.
- Support pricing execution, discount compliance, and commercial policy adherence.
- Partner with Aftermarket Account Managers to support customer growth strategies.
- Develop systems to deliver high customer experience and satisfaction consistently.
- Create and maintain team performance dashboards and communicate results and trends.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate ISR team members.
- Establish individual and team performance goals.
- Foster a customer-focused, accountable, and results-oriented culture.
- Lead or support the implementation of customer engagement and workflow tools.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial practices, and quality standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a Sales or customer-facing role.
- 2+ years leading teams.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience in the automation industry preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, Epicor, and Windchill, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities with sound decision-making.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong action orientation and initiative to solve problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively, influence decisions, and build effective teams.
