Inside Sales Estimator – Electrical Power Engineering
About the role
The Inside Sales Engineer will work with cutting-edge electrical equipment and provide top-notch sales solutions. They will respond to customer bid requests and internal requests, research online bid opportunities, analyze and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and addendums, clarify electrical testing scope of work with customer estimators, project managers, and engineers of record, obtain pricing from vendors for equipment repairs, parts, and other departments, prepare computer-based estimates, participate in bid strategy meetings as requested, generate reports, track project bid status, prepare purchase order (PO) documents, and facilitate contract hand-off to Operations and Engineering departments including job assumptions.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer bid requests and internal requests
- Research online bid opportunities
- Analyze and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and addendums
- Clarify electrical testing scope of work with customer estimators, project managers, and engineers of record
- Obtain pricing from vendors for equipment repairs, parts, and other departments
- Prepare computer-based estimates
- Participate in bid strategy meetings as requested
- Generate reports, track project bid status, prepare purchase order (PO) documents
- Facilitate contract hand-off to Operations and Engineering departments including job assumptions
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical power
- Alternatively, experience working with electrical equipment distributors
- A member company of the Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League (PEARL) is a strong asset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ready to work 100% on-site
