About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Estimator to join our dynamic team at Nixon Power Services in Nashville, TN. This role plays a critical part in supporting our sales efforts by providing accurate and timely estimates for power generation systems and related products.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for generator systems, parts, and related services based on customer requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to review project scope and ensure estimates align with customer expectations.
  • Research and source pricing for materials and equipment from vendors and suppliers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide technical product information, and offer recommendations tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates and quotes.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and product developments.
  • Support the sales team with additional tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is required.
  • Previous experience in sales estimating is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of power generation systems, electrical systems, or construction is a plus but not required.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

Qualifications

While a bachelor’s degree is required, we welcome candidates with relevant experience in sales estimating. A background in power generation systems, electrical systems, or construction can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
