Inside Sales/Customer Service

CERTEX USA is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative in Broussard, LA to join our team.

About the role

As an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative, you will assess needs, produce quotes and proposals, prepare contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction. To succeed, you must stay up to date on products and equipment through regular communication with vendors and manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions
• Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications
• Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard company procedures
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns
• Provide accurate information regarding the availability of in-stock items
• Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected delivery
• Increase sales and average order size through cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and promotional offers
• Educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products to improve sales and satisfaction
• Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
• Actively participate in shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing satisfaction and resolve complaints
• Fill requests for catalogs, information, or samples
• Capture accurate and complete information in company software
• Manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with the distribution team
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors

• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures, including the company’s “Stop Work” policy
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as directed
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist coworkers and supervisors with other duties as required

Qualifications

• Associate degree (preferred)
• 2 years of customer service experience (required)
• Minimum of two years of successful selling experience, with emphasis on industrial/commercial sales preferred
• Must be persistent, energetic, and entrepreneurial
• PC proficiency

Working Conditions

• Operates in an office and warehouse environment
• Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets
• Full-time position with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Minimal travel expected

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Frequent use of hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, such as a keyboard or mouse
• Ability to reach, bend, or stoop occasionally
• May occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
• Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus while working on a computer or navigating the warehouse
• Must have the ability to hear and speak to interact with customers, coworkers, etc., via telephone or video conference
• Some work may require exposure to loud noises and various temperatures in the warehouse facility

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour, with a monthly profit-sharing opportunity.
