Position Description: Inside Counter Sales About Us At Four Corners Building Supply we are looking for people who want to bring their passion and expertise to help our rapidly growing business. Our formula is simple, take exceptional care of our employees and they will take exceptional care of our customers. Job Summary: Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of walk-in customers and visitors. Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in visitors and customers.Promptly answer phones in a professional, courteous, and helpful mannerManage all counter activities such as answering inbound calls and following up with customers by phone as needed.Take purchase orders by phone, in-person, or email and enter them into the system.Assist in inventory management in the showroom.Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to provide timely service to customers.Forward new opportunities to the appropriate sales team for further development and closing.As needed, using a forklift to assist customers with loading and unloading their trucks. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GEDMinimum 1-3 years of counter sales experience with a lumber yard or similar businessProven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service. Skills Problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.Excellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong listening and presentation skillsAbility to multi-task, priorities, and manage time effectively.Ability to work productively in teams with a wide range of people.Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
