The focus of this job is making connections with people, building an understanding of our products and culture, and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately. An ideal candidate will work best in a fast-paced environment where results need to be shared and effectively delegated when necessary. Responsibilities Support the daily sales operations of a building materials distribution centerWork with customers and co-workers to build solid relationships based on trust and competenceThorough and precise; diagnose problems and provided proven solutionsFollowing up carefully and cheerfully with customers to ensure the preservation of relationshipsSupport outside sales team membersDirectly work with long-term customers dailyFinalize and oversee the fulfillment of customer ordersOpportunity to work within own area of expertise to ensure high-quality, by-the-book resultsAble to handle detailed work quickly & correctlySupport a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going on simultaneously Job Requirements Ideal candidates have a few years of inside sales & customer service experienceRoofing, mechanical, industrial, HVAC, and siding product knowledge, and experience preferredExperience in the construction industry is helpfulExperienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)Strong communication skillsDetail-oriented and focused; can concentrate on the task at hand for long periodsPersuasive teaching style to communicate the company's products and servicesFollow established guidelines, structure, and policies, while working with and for othersBe a team player who isn’t afraid of leadingWilling to jump in and roll up your sleeves to help out when necessary Benefits Package: MacArthur’s employees are our greatest asset and at MacArthur your health and wellbeing matters.
