Inside Sales Agent – Freight & Logistics
About the role
We’re looking for a driven, self-motivated Inside Sales Agent to join our growing sales team. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of new business development—spending the majority of your time on outbound prospecting calls to build a pipeline of shippers looking for a smarter, more reliable long-haul freight partner. You’ll also manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring customers stay engaged and satisfied as their needs evolve. This is a high-activity, results-oriented role that rewards hustle, persistence, and the ability to build relationships over the phone.
Responsibilities
- Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to identify new shipping opportunities, qualify prospects, and convert leads into active customers.
- Maintain and grow a book of existing accounts through regular check-ins, identifying upsell opportunities and ensuring strong service continuity.
- Work closely with operations and account management teams to resolve issues quickly and keep customers moving.
- Maintain clean, accurate CRM records—logging calls, tracking pipeline, and following up systematically to move deals forward.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of inside sales or customer-facing experience, ideally in freight, logistics, or transportation
- Freight brokerage or carrier sales experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable making 30+ outbound calls per day with persistence and a positive attitude
- Strong verbal communication skills—selling over the phone, so your voice is your most important tool
- Experience with a CRM preferred
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a large number of accounts and prospects simultaneously
What Success Looks Like
- First 90 days: Service offerings mastered, active prospect list built, and new business generation underway.
- Six months in: Hitting monthly activity and performance targets consistently and managing a growing book of accounts with minimal supervision.
