Inside Sales Account Representative
This is a fully remote role that can be based anywhere in the Central or Eastern parts of the US.
About the role
The inside sales account representative position is responsible for prospecting, developing and closing sales to targeted accounts and markets via phone, email and in person to achieve company revenue objectives. The position will provide new business development, solution-based selling, and transactional sales through direct and distribution channels. This role will help prospect, identify, and have initial conversations with new accounts while partnering with Outside Sales to achieve corporate revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and manage profitable relationships with organization's target accounts
- Work closely with Regional Sales Manager and Independent Sales Reps
- Collaborate with internal and Independent Sales Reps customer service team and utilize the team efficiently
- Spend 50% of time calling and/or cold calling customers in the communities broadband marketplace
- Spend the other 50% of time in the non-communities Premise and Out-Side-Plant markets
- Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, and sales trends
- Provide pricing and create special estimates to remain competitive within company policy
- Interpret internal and external reports to inform pricing and sales decisions
- Follow up on estimates created personally and large estimates generated by RSM's & ISR's in region
- Understand the product portfolio to professionally sell to the customer base and provide solutions to customer needs
- Create an organizational behavior focused on defining customer needs, strategic direction, and selling Premise and Out-Side-Plant products
- Participate in product training to enhance product knowledge
- Provide detailed upcoming meeting schedule and activity report to Directors on a weekly basis
- Participate in all required team conference calls
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of rep firms and distribution partners when needed
- Engage in technical solutions with clients through alignment with product management, RSM's, and marketing
- Utilize company marketing tools to educate and promote products and solutions
- Capture detailed account and opportunity information in the company's CRM database
- Develop baseline knowledge of competitors' product offerings and position Oldcastle Infrastructure products as superior
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate technical aptitude
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years professional experience in sales
- Preferred experience with infrastructure products in the communication market
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
- Understanding of Outside Plant and Premise basic product applications
- Familiarity with territory sales concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to learn builder/developer/communities' broadband market
- Strong verbal, written presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter, problem solver, highly motivated, and able to work without constant supervision
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure
- Multi-tasking and analytical abilities to provide decisive solutions to customers
- High level of professionalism with strong leadership abilities
- Proficiency in CRM platform utilization to enhance sales
- Prospecting, closing, inside sales management, and client relationship skills
- Inside sales and outbound telephone/communication sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding established goals and quotas
- Proficiency in solution selling
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of an inside and outside sales team with minimal supervision
- Strong functional usage of MS Office and other internal applications
