Responsibilities
- Maintain friendly, cooperative relations with customers, company personnel and management.
- Perform other tasks or assignments as delegated by the Director of Sales and Sales Representatives.
- Demonstrate the ability to tactfully handle difficult situations.
- Continue professional development through training courses as necessary.
- Anticipate problems and provide contingency plans and recommendations.
- Organize personal schedule to maximize productivity and time management.
- Follow all Company personnel policies and procedures.
- Obtains, reviews and understands contract documents upon assignment of projects.
- Work with Sales Representative to learn the management procedures.
- Reviews plans and specifications, discusses deviations from the original estimate with the estimator.
- Orders critical path job materials.
- Requests and obtains needed material submittals from suppliers and controls the entire submittal process.
- Assists in buy out of related job materials, supplies and other needed items.
- Creates and Maintains material project status reports.
- Process Change Orders and ensure they are correctly logged.
- Manages project closeout documentation such as warranties, operation/maintenance manuals, etc.
- Assist Sales Representative, complete project billings for assigned projects.
- Administers and adequately documents necessary communications between JJP Mechanical Reps, the customer, subcontractors, architects and engineers as appropriate; ensures that extras and quality issues are addressed and managed effectively.
- Administers other project documentation including project contract, drawings, submittals and purchase orders.
- Ensures that the Company maintains effective working relationships with customers and that the customers are fully satisfied with the performance on projects.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in project management or 4-year degree from an accredited University.
- Computer skills: Including work with various programs, Microsoft Word and Excel.
