Responsibilities
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, including group, individual, and family sessions.
- Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Communicate actively with clients, families, and external referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.
- Demonstrate proactive communication with those involved in the patient's treatment, documenting all interactions and correspondence.
- Participate in treatment planning for patients, revising the plan as necessary to set new goals.
- Collaborate consistently with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff, demonstrating active communication.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with relevant licensure (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, LMFT).
- Current unencumbered state licensure according to state requirements.
- CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
- Prior experience working with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with relevant licensure (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT, LMFT).
- Current unencumbered state licensure according to state requirements.
- CPR and CPI Certification within 30 days of employment and before patient contact.
- Prior work with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
