Responsibilities
Provide pharmaceutical care to Mercy Medical Center patients, in compliance with federal, state, and professional mandates, as well as hospital and department policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Maryland and maintains all necessary continuing education credits and requirements.
- No certification requirements specified.
- Age-specific care provided for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize various software applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable), and Epic (if applicable).
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to work independently and make independent decisions when necessary.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and be able to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to type at a speed of 30 words per minute.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience for a minimum of one year preferred, but not required.
- Previous oncology pharmacy experience for a minimum of one year preferred, but not required.
Skills
