Inpatient staff pharmacist

Responsibilities

Provide pharmaceutical care to Mercy Medical Center patients, in compliance with federal, state, and professional mandates, as well as hospital and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Licensed as a registered Pharmacist in Maryland and maintains all necessary continuing education credits and requirements.
• No certification requirements specified.
• Age-specific care provided for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize various software applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable), and Epic (if applicable).
• Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to work independently and make independent decisions when necessary.
• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
• Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and be able to function effectively as a team with other employees.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to type at a speed of 30 words per minute.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience for a minimum of one year preferred, but not required.
• Previous oncology pharmacy experience for a minimum of one year preferred, but not required.
