About the role
The physical therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity, providing services across the continuum in a quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused manner.
Responsibilities
- Implement and revise treatment plans with patient/family input.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and community referrals.
- Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental guidelines.
- Adhere to ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and ensure safety with materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and participate in staff meetings and training.
- Promote positive patient and coworker interactions, fostering teamwork and respect.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure and certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
