Inpatient Rehab Physical Therapist

About the role

The physical therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformity, providing services across the continuum in a quality, cost-effective, and customer-focused manner.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and revise treatment plans with patient/family input.
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and community referrals.
  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental guidelines.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and ensure safety with materials and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and participate in staff meetings and training.
  • Promote positive patient and coworker interactions, fostering teamwork and respect.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
