Role Overview An occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Develops and revises individualized treatment plans with patient and family input.Provides patient education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs and discharge plans.Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient education according to departmental guidelines.Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and professional appearance.Communicates effectively with team members and participates in meetings and training.Ensures safe, cost-effective use of materials and equipment, and adheres to infection prevention protocols.Promotes excellent customer service, fostering teamwork and respect among patients and staff.Engages in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, and licensure requirements.Performs additional duties as assigned, complying with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.Active Occupational Therapist license and BLS certification.Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
