Inpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Role Overview

The Inpatient RN CAP 2 provides clinically competent care to dialysis patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. They coordinate tasks with care staff, participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient data collection and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on care needs.
• Recognize and report patient status changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer treatments, medications, and manage emergency responses.
• Delegate tasks to staff, serve as a resource, and mentor new employees.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist in specialized nursing care as needed and may support outpatient facilities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current state licensure and CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of nephrology nursing experience, with preferred dialysis experience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for long periods, and assist with patient mobility.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
