Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse

About the role

The registered nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. They will promote patient and family-centered care, educate on illness management, and ensure safety and quality compliance. The role involves developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, considering patient preferences and needs. The nurse must demonstrate critical assessment skills across physical, psychosocial, and emotional domains, maintaining safety as a priority in a safety-sensitive position. This position is integral to delivering high-quality psychiatric care in a state-of-the-art facility, with a focus on safety and patient-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities that promote safety, quality, and professional development.
• Communicate and coordinate care plans across the continuum of care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment, medication, and post-discharge care.
• Use critical nursing skills to evaluate patient needs, preferences, and barriers.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure mandatory.
• Experience: no experience to at least 2 years for preferred qualifications.
