Role Overview
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engages in professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the interprofessional team, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care. Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural aspects.
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree and RN licensure required
- No prior experience needed; Bachelor's degree and two years of experience preferred
- Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices
- Strong commitment to compassionate patient care and safety
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess diverse patient needs and develop appropriate care plans
