Inpatient Physical Therapist

About the role

Join a dynamic inpatient physical therapy team at a Level 1 trauma center, providing care across adult ICU and progressive care units, with potential rotation through pediatric units. This full-time, rotating role involves organizing and delivering medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function, prevent disability, and educate patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Instruct patients, caregivers, and staff on therapeutic techniques and safety measures
• Supervise physical therapy students
• Document care and progress accurately
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Engage in ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
• Valid New Mexico Physical Therapist License or Temporary License
• CPR/BLS certification
• Physical ability to perform heavy work
