Inpatient Pharmacy Tech 2

About the role

BJC Home Care is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Tech 2 with national certification who can focus on sterile compounding activities. Previous experience in sterile compounding and home infusion is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality assurance standards and required documentation
• Maintain regulatory cleanliness compliance
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, including workflow management, basic preparation, and non-sterile compounding
• Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance
• Supports various inventory activities, such as storage, ordering, rotating, beyond-use dating, and cleanliness
• Pursue proficiency in compounding sterile preparations and/or other advanced skills

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No supervisor experience required
• Licenses and certifications: State Board of Pharmacy registration and Pharmacy Tech certification

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience

Skills

Previous experience in sterile compounding and home infusion is strongly preferred.
