About the Role

Provides pharmaceutical care to customers of Saint Alphonsus Nampa Medical Center. The Nampa Pharmacy Team offers a supportive, mentoring environment.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required.
• Residency preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Pharmacist with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Six months of hospital or inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups.
• Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to patients.
• Reviews patient history incorporating various pharmacy activities to provide customers with adequate education for optimum outcomes.
• Prepares pharmaceutical products for patients’ use by safe and cost-effective methods using acceptable professional standards.
• Comprehends and supports quality assurance and risk management issues.
• Participates in various departmental duties, including material resource management, clerical and financial responsibilities, safety, and other issues.
• Supervises technicians and pharmacy support staff.
• Maintains excellent communication skills.
• Adaptable to institutional roles and schedules.
