About the role

The manager oversees clinical pharmacy services within their assigned area, supervising staff and ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use. They communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to optimize medication therapy management.

Responsibilities

• Perform all pharmacist duties within their practice area.
• Maintain clinical care standards, enhance patient satisfaction, and ensure an efficient medication workflow.
• Evaluate current pharmacy practices and recommend improvements.
• Develop new programs based on identified needs and opportunities.
• Address and resolve employee and patient issues, involving HR or leadership when needed.
• Manage staff performance, recruitment, and staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor medication utilization and costs, collaborating with healthcare providers to develop cost-saving protocols.
• Contribute to budget planning and resource allocation.
• Implement staff education and performance metrics to support key goals.
• Develop contingency plans in response to operational or financial changes.
• Maintain and update department policies, ensuring adherence to accreditation and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills are essential.
